Toray Plastics reduces run rates at ABS plant

Toray Plastics Malaysia is presently running its Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plant at curtailed capacity levels.A source in Malaysia informed a team member, "The company has reduced run rates at the plant at around 70-75% of production capacity levels. The reason behind the production cuts could not be ascertained."Located in Penang, Malaysia, the plant has a production capacity of 425,000 mt/year.
