The previous close of April 25 was $10/mt more expensive at $641/mt and $12/mt more expensive at $659/mt. In the morning session, a bid of $640/mt FOB Korea for a cargo of 3,000-mt was heard. The shipment would be loaded in the second half May. The bid was repeated in the Market on Close process. During the trading session, no counteroffers were heard. Although the Chinese domestic market appeared to be softening and a Chinese broker said that demand seemed weaker, Southeast Asian trader were still hearing FOB China sales indications at $670/mt. After the window, a 2,000 mt cargo CFR Indonesia was listed at $690/mt and loading in May H2. Source said that freight costs are now fluctuating.
