spread of CFR China and FOB Korea narrows to minus $15-20/mt





Sources said that Asian toluene prices rose
on June 10, despite a shortage of global supply. Stronger solvents markets and
healthy demand for gasoline blenders continue to fuel price increases. A trader stated that the
FOB Korea prices of toluene/solvent mix reflect US gasoline prices. However,
CFR Southeast Asia prices from regional producers for solvent use aren't as
high. Arbitrage to the US was open. FOB US
Gulf Toluene was last valued at 713.50c/gal ($2,174-2,200/mt on June 9), and
FOB Korea Toluene markers were assessed at $1,300-1,340/mt on June 10. This reflects
a spread of $874-900/mt. A selling
