Due
to lower upstream oil prices, Asian toluene fell $20-25/mt and was valued at
$1050-1095/mt FOB Korea, and $18-20/mt for the same period at $1.087-2.105/mt
CFR China. Upstream, the ICE Brent front line May
contract price dropped $7.36-8.50/b at 830 GMT to $111.14-130.15/b March 4. There are limited selling indicators in the East Asia market
due to tight toluene supplies. Due to
bunker and firm freight costs, the spread between CFR China & FOB Korea
increased $3-4/mt over the course of the day to $32-38/mt. According to market sources, the inventory news showed that
the east China port inventory was at 38,000 mt for the week of February
