As gasoline prices rose, trade discussions
gained traction in the US aromatis market for toluene/mixed xylenes. After September, mixed
xylenes (and nitration grade toluene) were both bid twice at 370c/gal FOB ITC
Deer Park. Discussions on August laycan
revealed that bids for 385 cents per gall were heard after 1:30 PM Central
time, a trade session prior. FOB US Gulf
Coast nitration grade toluene mixed xylenes were 386 cents/gal. This was 12
cents more than the previous trade session. According to a source, one trade on NGT cargo had traded
below 50 cents/gal in September RBOB. However, the recent rebound in gasoline
