Asian Toluene prices continue to fall, as bearish market outlook changes / Prices in January for Southeast Asia are high / Prices and demand in India are mixed

Asian toluene was down $6/mt on the day at $694/mt FOB Korea, Dec. 17. February ICE Brent crude futures fell $0.14/b to $74.43/b. No bids or offers for FOB Korea cargo were received during the Asian morning and afternoon. However, an offer was made for H2 January FOB cargo later. The H2 January offer was initially priced at $700/mt and was then reduced to $695/mt FOB Korea. According to Asian sources, the market for toluene in north Asia is very bearish. A buyer in the Southeast Asian market claimed that his company was completely covered for cargo due to November's purchases. He said that November prices were more expensive than the current offers, but that there was no January demand, and his company was fully covered up to February.
