The US spot export polyvinylchloride prices
remained flat over the week ending February 8, according to stable last-heard
pricing indications. Prices were set at $830 to $840/mt
FAS Houston. This includes a base range between $820 and $830/mt FAS. An
additional $10-15/mt was added to account for higher warehouse storage and
drayage trucking costs for packaged material that is awaiting export. Based on
last-heard pricing indicators, domestic PVC prices were flat for the week of
February 8. According to market sources and customer
letters, most US PVC producers announced additional price hikes for domestic
material in February/March. Shintech, Westlake, and Formosa
Plastics USA revised their previous announcements for a 4c/lb price hike for
