Sources said February 16 that trade
discussions in the Southeast Asian Methanol Market for March spot cargoes were
quiet. Sources said that March's trading
activity will slow due to school holidays in Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as
the beginning of Ramadan's fasting month. A buyer
said that he received offers from three suppliers recently asking him if he was
interested in March cargoes. This is usually the case when the market has been
long. Spot demand in other parts of Southeast Asia was
low as many end-users were covered under term volume. CFR China
and CFR Southeast Asia were both assessed stable at $376-381/mt on February 16. Indian
domestic methanol prices were stable...
