Spot MTBE flats prices in the US Gulf Coast
fell to 355.49c/gal FOB USG on July 20. This was 3.21 cents lower than the
previous day. At 27.95 cents/gal, the premium to
front-month gasoline remained unchanged. According to
data from the US Energy Information Administration, gasoline blending component
inventories rose in the week ending July 15. Stocks stood
at 209.3 million barrels, which was 1.2% higher than the previous week but
still 4.4% less than a year ago. Refinery utilization declined
slightly over the week, falling 1.2 points to 93%. Refinery
rates are up by 2.3 points over the year and 15.8 points from 2020. However, the
operating capacity is 17.944 million barrels. This compares to 18.128million in
2021...
