In the week ending Nov. 23, European
polypropylene markets continued to be dominated by depressed demand
fundamentals. Participants reported full warehouses and lower production
activity. A trader stated that demand is
limited, as well as market activity. The gap
between spot and contract pricing continued to widen over the week. Spot prices
dropped as sellers tried to increase demand. The contract
pricing in the polypropylene market was stable. However, there were a variety
of indicative pricing levels due to uncertainty. The FD NWE
spot prices for homopolymer polypropylene and copolymer plasticylene fell by
Eur35/mt over the week, to Eur1,250/mt/mt, and Eur1,350/mt respectively. Spot pricing
