The Asian naphtha markets saw higher prices
on Feb. 22. Tenders were heard concluding at a premium of $19/mt for the Mean
of Japan naphtha assessments, CFR. Sources
said this was more than the H2 March delivery cargo level. YNCC had previously
awarded its tender at a premium price of $19/mt to MOPJ Naphtha assessments.
Sources said that India's BPCL sold 30,000 mt of naphtha with minimum 65%
peraffin content for loading March 6-7, from Mumbai at a premium price of
$39/mt. This premium was five days from the bill of lading. BPCL sold
35,000 mt of naphtha last year with a minimum 65% paraffin content to load Jan. 10-11,
Mumbai, at a premium price of $35/mt. Similarly in India, IOC was reported to...
