Taekwang Industrial is planning to shut down its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in Ulsan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “Operations at the plant are likely to be halted for maintenance in May 2026. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained. Located in Ulsan, South Korea, the plant has a production capacity of 1 million mt/year.
