Arbitrage flows from Asia remained closed
in most places, resulting in muted activity in the Asian benzene marketplace on

Korea's benzene market dropped $10-15/mt to $1.258-2.500/mt as sharp offers in
the mid-afternoon were canceled by a bid at $1,253-1,290/mt late afternoon for
an August cargo. A CFR China floating
basis bid was heard for a July CFR China cargo at plus $20-25/mt, against the
July weekly Mean of Korea base price. An August cargo was offered for plus $28-33/mt,
which reflects a low trading interest in China. Sources reaffirm that the styrene industry was the main
