There were few discussions in the Asian
Propylene market on Feb. 13, with sources stating that there were limited
offers and bids due to tight supply. According to market sources, the reduced run
rates of Asian naphtha-fed steam crackeders has tightened supply. There were
only a few sellers who had March cargoes. A producer
from Northeast Asia said that it is unlikely that the supply situation will
change in the short term because crackers in Asia don't plan to increase
production due to high naphtha costs. Market
sources indicated that sentiment was also affected by weak derivative margins.
This is because downstream polypropylene demand remains weak after the Lunar
