Spot prices for US toluene rose more June 3, due to
strong demand for octanes in gasoline blending. NGT for June delivery was
higher at 589c/gal. The assessment was
made in the absence of any market activity. It used the NGT blend value and the
day's assessment on unleaded87 gasoline on USGC pipeline basis. NGT spot prices and blend values both set records almost
every day of the week. One source said,
"What will slow it down? I'm not sure." This week began with the Memorial Day holiday on May 30,
