assessments were down $30-35/mt to $1,350-1,385/mt CFR China marker. The China
domestic price was down Yuan105-155/mt to Yuan 9,790-9,890mtexp-tank. This
equates to $1,340-1,390/mt based on import parity March 4. Spot SM prices were
affected by weak upstream prices and slow buying interest in the domestic and
international China markets. Domestic
China spot prices trended down in morning trading and then remained flat in
afternoon. They were Yuan 9,780-9,800/mt to prompt delivery, Yuan 9,840-9,850/mt
H2 March delivery and Yuan 9,790-9,810/mt April delivery. According to trade sources, the inventory news for east
