to a stronger domestic China market, Asian styrene markets were valued up
$13/mt at $1144/mt CFR China and $1,164.50/mt FBO China. FOB Korea's
marker increased $13/mt to $1,144/mt FOB Korea. This is in parity with the CFR
China marker. Domestic China prompt marker increased Yuan 60/mt to Yuan
8,705/mt. This is an increase of $14.13/mt over Jan. 12's close of
$1.108.22/mt. According to reports, demand was generally low outside
China. According to market sources, trading was thin in the Southeast Asia
region. A producer from the region said that he doesn't believe demand
will rise much. He suggested that March might be the best month for
trading. China's buyers continued to build...
