Styrene monomer sheds $55 for the period Butadiene and ACN climb during the week  



Sources said that the US acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene
assessment fell for the first month because feedstock styrene dropped for the
period. Spot ABS was
valued at 181.5 cents/lb ($4,000-4,050/mt), a decrease of 2 cents ($42-46/mt). The 180 cents/lb delivered basis level was maintained for
ABS pricing. US styrene prices fell
upstream by $55 between April 12 and $2,150-2,175/mt FOB USG on April 19. According to  Commodity Insights data, the marker had
increased $205-210 since April 12. Spot
acrylonitrile in the USA was valued at between $2,235 and $2,245 mt FOB USGC.
This was based upon talk of pricing at that level. Domestic ACN contracts were unchanged at 124.5 cents/lb
