India Styrene monomer: CFR India drops due to weak demand and ample supply / Ex-tank prices drop to Rupees 83.5/kg / Premium for CFR China Marker drops to $33/mt

The Indian styrene markets weakened during the week ending June 6. This was due to falling crude and benzene futures. CFR China's styrene Monomer Marker was $875/mt in June, down $20/mt since May 30. This reflects weak upstream markets as well as stable supplies on the Chinese domestic market. The premium to CFR China has decreased by $1/mt. The offer levels for India ranged between CFR China plus 35-$37/mt and the buying indications were CFR China plus 25-$30/mt. The styrene Monomer CFR India Marker was $908/mt at the end of June, down $21/mt compared to the previous assessment. During the Market on Close process, a CFR China plus $ 37/mt offer was noted, while the buying indications ranged from CFR China plus $25-28/mt. During the MOC session, no firm bids...
