Asian Styrene Monomer: Prices rise on expectations of higher feedstock costs / SM futures rise Yuan 80/mt on day / Spot discussions in SE Asia remain thin

Styrene monomer CFR China and FOB Korea markers at $923/mt and $913/mt April 11, both up $9/mt from the last assessment, amid crude rebound and expectations of rising feedstock costs. A market source based in China said, "Tariffs on ethane and propane will impact EBSM and POSM units, causing feedstock costs to increase." Coupled with the rebound in crude prices, market sources shared that producers are increasingly keen to raise offer levels, though buyers are mostly still waiting on the sidelines. Following the halt in trading yesterday after SM futures hit the limit, the front-month May EB2505 styrene monomer futures contract listed on the Dalian Commodities Exchange rose to Yuan 7,520/mt April 11, up Yuan 80/mt as of the close of the afternoon trading session at 3 pm Beijing time....
