The maintenance markers for styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korean were $949/mt on June 20 and $939/mt on June 20, both lower than the previous day by $3/mt, reflecting the decline in the China market. The Dalian Commodities Exchange's front-month July EB2507 styrene monmer futures contract was listed at Yuan 7,734/mt on June 20. This is down Yuan 25,/mt from the previous day at the close of afternoon trading at 3 pm Beijing Time (0700 GMT). A China-based source stated that the slight drop in SM could be due to a fall in crude prices, but prompt premiums are notably higher due to short covering.
