Asian Styrene Monomer: Unchanged amid stable upstream benzene prices / Benzene FOB Korea steady at $713.33/mt / Selective discussions within SEA during the week

The styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korean markers were unchanged from day to day at $905.50/mt & $895.50/mt on May 23. This is due to stable upstream benzene price. The Asian benzene FOB Korea mark was unchanged from day to day at $713.33/mt on May 23. Over the same time period, the ethylene CFR Northeast Asia mark remained at $780/mt. The price of crude oil and the price of naphtha both fell on May 23. The front-month ICE Brent contract was 44 cents/b less on the session, at $63.93/b by the Asian close. Meanwhile, the - C+F Japan Naphtha marker dropped $3/mt to $560.375/mt.
