India Styrene monomer: Prices drop tracking weakness in China market / Ex-tank Offers at Rupees 96.5/kg / Premium to CFR China Marker Stable at $35/mt

The CFR India styrene Monomer Marker dropped over the weekend of April 4. This was due to weakness in the China Market. The CFR China styrene markers were stable day-over-day and down $17.50/mt since March 28, at $960/mt, on April 4. However, the premium over CFR China was unchanged throughout the week at $35/mt. The offer levels were CFR Chinaplus 40/mt for India and the buying indications were CFR Chinaplus $30/mt. This was unchanged from last week. "The premium over CFR China has largely remained stable." There were fewer offers throughout the week," said a Kolkata-based participant. "There is weakness both in China and the Indian domestic market right now," said another market source.
