Asian Styrene monomer: Prices drop tracking decline in the domestic Chinese market / Opening of the arbitrage window between East China and Shandong: Source /Cargo Arrivals Heard for H2 July to Indonesia

The styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korean markers were $925/mt & $915/mt respectively on July 11. Both marks are down $8/mt compared to the previous assessment. This is in line with the decline of the Chinese domestic market. The front-month Brent contract dropped $1.02/b during the trading session, to $68.96/b. The naphtha mark fell by $6.75/mt during the trading session, to $585/mt C+F Japan. FOB Korea's benzene mark was down $6/mt on the trading day at $722.33/mt. Sources in China said that a domestic arbitrage opportunity between East China and Shandong could be opening, as Shandong's prices are about Yuan 200/mt less than East China's. Southeast Asia sources reported that discussions were relatively sparse. In Indonesia, however, it was expected that 3,500-6,000 mt styrene would arrive from South Korea...
