Asian Styrene Monmer: Prices drop as crude prices fall, Trump's Tariffs are upheld / Thailand's market is expected to improve during July-August / SM futures drop Yuan 86/mt DOD; Brent futures fall $1.19/b DOD

The styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korean markers were $895/mt & $885/mt respectively on May 30. Both are down $8/mt since the previous assessment. This is in line with the decrease of the China domestic market. As of the end of the afternoon session at 3pm Beijing time, the front-month July EB2507 styrene monmer futures contract was listed at Yuan 7,140/mt on May 30. This is down Yuan 86/mt from the previous day. According to market sources, SM prices are lower today due to the drop in crude oil prices. Crude oil futures declined in the afternoon Asian trade of May 30 as the US Court of Appeals temporarily suspended the US Court of International Trade ruling that deemed US president Donald Trump's Tariffs illegal. This dampened market sentiment....
