FBO Korea Jan. 27, owing to stronger crude oil prices and upstream benzene. As
of 4:30pm Singapore time, the March ICE Brent futures contract increased
$1.94/b and was at $87.96/b. The last day of China’s Spring Festival
holiday saw little trading. As US gasoline blenders sought octane boosts
for blending, the demand outlook for Asia's wider aromatics market grew. The
market is eagerly waiting for a recovery in demand from China after the Lunar
New Year holiday. Blenders are increasingly interested in styrene's
precursor, ethylbenzene. Although styrene can not be used as an octane boost
directly, it is being used more frequently by blenders. However, Asia
