US Styrene: Price holds despite sluggish demand, ample supply / Weak global demand paralyzes trade flows: distributor / Producers face pressure to reduce rates amid low appetite

Spot US Gulf styrene prices remained stable in the week ended Oct. 24, as the market faced uncertainty in the spot market and has seen “no real spot deals for export recently,” according to a trading analyst. “The market feels a bit sleepy with little to no appetite to transact,” a styrene distributor said, referring to the lack of spot deals heard throughout the week.
