- Styrene appears more stable- Butadiene dips further

Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene down
$20/mt week on week at $1,300/mt CFR China Nov. 9 with a mostly bearish market
heard currently. On
an import-parity basis, the ABS price in China was at Yuan 11,350-12,000.50/mt.
This is approximately $1,310-1,391/mt. According
to sellers on the international market, China-based buyers are unlikely to want
to purchase at more than $1300-1340/mt CFR China. Feedstock styrene monmer rose $2/mt to $925/mt CFR China
week-on-week. This may be a support for the future, provided that feedstock
prices remain stable. Butadiene dropped
$40/mt to $740/mt China during the same period. Meanwhile, acrylonitrile rose
$5/mt weekly to $1,610/mt Northeast Asia on Nov. 8.
