Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene dropped $23-28/mt
on the day to $937.50-950.50/mt FOB Korea. It also fell $20-25/mt to $934.50-950.50/mt
CRU Unv1 and $5-6/mt to $975-990/mt CRU China July 20. There were H2 August FOB Korean offers. These
offered lower levels of isomer-MX, despite a slight decrease in crude oil
prices and a $2-3/mt increase in paraxylene at $1,040-1,070/mt CRU Unv1/China. Based on the
FOB Korea MX and CFR prices of PX, the PXX-MX spread increased from $25-30/mt
to $102.83-120.50/mt. According to customs data, South Korea exported
35.434 mt of isomer-grade mixed xylenes to America in June. This was according
to July 19th's market news. The US saw a 48,677 mt increase in
paraxylene exports in June from 28,573 in May. This...
