FOB Asian Singapore MTBE was valued at
$903/mt Dec. 2 - $22/mt lower than Nov. 25, due to fewer trades this week. Market on Close assessed
the market Dec. 2 and recorded no bids or offers, keeping the factor at 1.225. February ICE Brent crude oil futures fell by 62cents/b week
to $85.53/b Dec. 2. The Gasoline 92–Naphtha premium rose by $3.42/mt during the
same period to $18.45/b. This could increase demand for MTBE. According to a trader, market participants expect increased
trade activity between China, Southeast Asia, and the United States in the
coming weeks. They will be focusing on January cargoes, as China relaxes its
position on COVID-19. Sources reported
that FOB China was being offered at $865-880/mt January loading....
