Sources said that US homopolymer injection grade polypropylene pricing
continued rising through the first quarter. This was due to firmer spot
propylene monomer prices and talk about higher supplier selling ideas. Spot homopolymer-grade polypropylene export prices were
assessed at $1,860-$1,885/mt on a FAS Houston basis (84.5-85.5c/lb), $99 more
than the previous week. Based on talk of a
3 cent premium over homopolymer grades, the co-polymer quality was also $99
higher at $1,929-1,951/mt (87.5-88.5c/lb). FAS Houston basis. Additional fees of 3.5 cents per lb for shipping to ports
and packaging are included in the FAS assessments. Spot homopolymer grade PP was discussed higher week-on-week
and at 86 cents delivered in Mexico. Spot
