Spot parcel purchased by an unknown buyer in China at $2,100/mt / The range of buy and sell indicators was narrow

The Asian caprolactam industry was stable to soft in the week ending Dec. 16, in terms of supply-demand outlook, despite slowing demand. Caprolactam buyers were more interested in China than from other regions in Northeast Asia. One supplier signed a spot deal for $2100/mt CFR basis during the week. China's operation rate limitations had forced caprolactam producers to look for supplies outside the country in order to meet their orders. Some Chinese participants still had a buying indication of around $1,950 to $2,000/mt. Participants in Northeast Asia also stated that tradable indications for H1 January material were between $2,000 and $2,050/mt. CFR Far East Asia caprolactam remained at $2,050/mt Dec. 16, a $5/mt decrease from the previous week. As participants didn't see any incentive to buy more ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday season, demand...
