US Gulf Coast spot MTBE fell one month to a
low, while front-month gasoline futures dropped slightly on the day. MTBE fell 0.81 cents to
329.83 Cents/gal on the day, its lowest level since Oct. 12 when it was at
328.35. The premium remained unchanged at
79.03 Cents/gal. A market source stated on Nov. 16 that the premium would not change unless the reformate is under pressure. The source said that everything is moving according to
contract or direct deals. However, there has been very little spot activity
right now. The source stated that Mexico's
state-owned oil company Pemex was "moving all MTBE cargoes" and not
blending with gasoline, as they did last year. He added that this has also limited spot trading...
