1 saw Asian toluene prices rise as the markers rolled and took the average of
the fourth and third half-month clay cans. These lay cans are currently first-half
January and second-half January. FOB Korea's marker was initially heard to
be priced at $780/mt, for any January loading of 2,000 mt ASTM D-841 cargo.
However, it withdrew prior to an offer of $790/mt, LC at the sight. At the
close of trading, the offer heard was $778/mt. There were no takers. During
the Market on Close assessment process, there were no transparent offers or
bids on FOB Korea and FOB China. According to industry sources, spot
