On June 9, Asian mono ethylene glycol was
rated stable to firmer. Market
sentiment was firmer. China's MEG futures
grew in line with bullish western crude oil futures. According to the exchange, September MEG futures on China’s
Dalian Commodity Exchange (or DCE) rose Yuan 37-55/mt on June 9th to close at
Yuan 5,250-5,300/mt. August ICE Brent
futures increased $2. 48/b Day on Day to
be assessed at $123.11-140.25/b June 9. However,
the Asian MEG market was limited by a lack of spot demand. In addition, ethylene feedstock market sentiment remained
bearish. The CFR Northeast Asia ethylene
price was stable at $1,030-1,060/mt on June 9.
