After a pickup in trading
activity earlier this week, discussions in the Asian market for methanol were
muted on April 28. An original offer of a 10,000-mt parcel
at $425-435/mt CFR Korea in June was rejected. It was then sold to a
China-based buyer at a premium of 2.3% to the ICI Specific Origin China methanol
prices on April 27. For delivery in May, a
7,000-mt parcel from Trinidad and Tobago was sold at $360-375/mt CFR China. The selling interest in the cargo of Middle East origin for
