Due to low plasticizer demand, the 2-ethyl
hexanol CF China marker suffered further losses on June 30, CFR Far East Asia acrylonitrile was down $150-165/mt
over the week to $1,270-1,300/mt on June 30. Shanghai's
reopening after lifting COVID-19 curbs on May 1 has not brought relief to
battered plasticizers or the 2-EH feedstock market. In the week
ending June 30, the tradable 2-EH price was Yuan 8,800-8,900/mt Shandong, and
Yuan 9,200-9,300/mt east China. This is down by Yuan 1,200-1,300/mt. This
amounts to approximately $1,099-$1,149/mt CFR China if you consider
