The South Asian polypropylene market rose significantly July 22 amid higher offers. Producers based in the Middle East withdrew offers amid renewed tensions in the region. The only offers in the market are from Vietnam and China. PP raffia/injection grade up $75/metric ton week over week at $1,175/mt CFR South Asia July 15, below the lowest offers in the range of $1,180-$1,215/mt, above buy ideas at $1,050/mt, and within tradable indications heard in the range of $1,070-$1,175/mt CFR South Asia. No deals were heard today as market participants were in a wait-and-watch mode. While there were offers, India-based traders remained skeptical about closing deals, as they are uncertain about the shipments.
