to low activity, Asian solvent mixedxylenes saw steady to lower prices
week-over-week on Dec. 16. The February Brent crude oil futures were
$4.16/b higher on the week at $80.38/b Dec. 16 but $1.60/b less on the
day. C&F Japan naphtha marker was valued at $625.50/mt, an increase of
$3/mt but lower than $15.625/mt for the day. The price of isomer
mixedxylenes rose $9/mt and $12.50/mt during the week to $808.50/mt FOB
Korea. According to a source in India, there is little need for imports
into India because of high inventories and weak demand. Domestic ex-Kandla
prices were stable at Rupees 80-83/kg. However, premiums to FOB Korean were
weaker over the week which resulted in CFR India prices dropping...
