Taiwan sells 7,500 mt JanuaryDue to softer demand in Asia, Asian solvent mixed
xylene prices dropped on week Dec. 2. FOB Korea's price dropped $7/mt on
the week, to $836/mt. This is despite a last-minute bid for 1,000 mt loading H2
December at $835/mt FOB Korean, with letter credit at sight. There were no
trades or offers. According to broking sources, China's domestic xylenes
market fluctuated in Jiangsu within a narrow range, with little trade or
participation. According to import parity, the prompt ex tank East China
market was valued at Yuan 7,500/mt. This is little change from last week and
amounts to $870/mt. Market sources reported that mixed xylenes inventories
