FOB Korea on Dec. 2, as downstream prices continued to fall. February
ICE Brent crude oil future dropped $1.91/b, to $69.90/b by 0830 GMT in Asian
trading. Naphtha was down $13.75/mt to $660.25/mt CIF Japan. The China benzene market was stable, and the domestic East
China marker was unchanged at Yuan 6,410/mt or $872.79/mt-$890/mt on an import
parity basis. The downstream styrene
monomer dropped $5/mt on the day to $1,029/mt CFR China. The cost of January loading in the US was 302 cents per
gallon (or $902.98/mt) overnight. As the market continued to be
bearish, Asian caprolactam's value in downstream markets was down by $90/mt at
2,050/mt CFR Fareast Asia, and $45/mt @ 2,080/mt CT Southeast Asia. According
