The Asian styrene monmer remained firm
despite strong export demand and a better domestic China market. Styrene monomer was $14.50/mt more expensive on
the day, at $990/mt CFR China Nov. 17 and $985/mt FOB Korea November 17. Some sources
believe that the current price support in styrene monmer is due to strong
exports demand, but another source said that domestic prices are stable China
ex-tank and will rise on favorable market fundamentals. Further, it
was reported that a tender was issued for approximately 12,000 mt bound to the
