- SK Advanced in South Korea to keep Ulsan's PDH plant at
85% Rate in Nov- Weak downstream demand

Due to weak demand and thin discussions,
Asia's propylene market remained stable on Oct. 31. The spread in price
between propylene assessments and polypropylene was $10-$15/mt on Oct. 31,
which is well below the $150-$170/mt breakeven spread. Sources claim sellers were motivated by cost pressures to
increase their offers. Both for domestic
Chinese cargoes in dollar-denominated dollars, demand was weak throughout the
week. According to a source, SK Advanced
in South Korea plans to keep the propane dehydrogenation plant's run rate in
Ulsan at 85% in November. This is unchanged from October.
