Sinopec Hainan completes maintenance at BD plant

Sinopec Hainan Petrochemical has restarted its butadiene (BD) plant following a brief outage. A source in China informed a team member, “The plant was brought onstream around February 4, 2026. It was shut down in the last week of January 2026 for maintenance.” Located in Yangpu, Hainan province of China, the BD plant has a production capacity of 110,000 mt/year.
