Shenghong Refining and Chemical is in plans to take its Monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit off stream. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to shut down the unit in December 2025 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu in China, the MEG unit has a production capacity of 900,000 mt/year.
