The Asian propylene market was
stable on Sept. 1. It had experienced a rally of one day the previous day, but
buyers were discouraged from buying into it. The November ICE Brent
crude oils futures contract fell $2.08/b from its previous Asian close of
$94.18/b at 0930 GMT Sep 1. Shandong
propylene fell from Yuan 50/mt to Yuan 7,050/mt exp-tank. An end-user in China stated that the crude oil price has
fallen recently and that he would pay $850/mt CFR China to transport propylene
cargoes. According to a South Korean
producer, China released an economic support package last week that was very
