Asian paraxylene prices rose for the second
day on June 21 due to renewed buying interest and better sentiment. They were
valued at $16.50/mt on the day at $1328.17/mt CFR Taiwan/China or $1,308.17/mt
FBO Korea. After
hovering around $500/mt for a while, the spread to feedstock naphtha F Japan
cargo increased to $507.79/mt due to the increase in PX prices. During the Market on Close assessment process, firms bought
August and September clay cans. PetroChina
and GS Caltex concluded an Asia-origin August cargo at $1,341/mt. Mercuria Asia
Resources then sold an Asia-origin Sept cargo to ExxonMobil at $1,308/mt. This
