- September demand uptick limited- Some customers purchase from
lower inventories



The week ended September 14 saw mixed
activity in Europe's linear-low-density polyethylene markets. C4 grades were
still under pressure, while higher-energy-intensive grades like C6 and
metallocene were seen rising. C4
grade was experiencing a downtrend. One trader said that most activities were
occurring between Eur1,230-1.330/mt. However, he noted that one producer was
offering material below Eur1,200-1,210/mt to 100-200 mt cargoes. Another trader claimed he could fix multiple cargoes within
the Eur1,100-1.200/mt range, despite sellers claiming they couldn't make
margins for products sold in Europe at below the high-Eur1,300-1,310s/mt. A producer stated that some are selling below monomer. He
