Prices
were declining despite tight supply during the week ending May 11, as buyers
continued to be reluctant to buy additional material beyond what they needed. As converters remain
concerned about the possibility of a recession, high inflation, and decreasing
purchasing power, some buyers canceled orders. A trader stated that the buyer said he had to cancel an LL
order he had confirmed because they didn't have enough orders [downstream] and
that he would do the same for any other grades if it continues." Sources had predicted that the demand would rise and prices
