64.5% on capacity addition Crude rallies extend amid lingering

The Asian MTBE dropped $9/mt-$15/mt to
$1,003/mt-$1,006/mt FOB Singapore on February 15, due to aggressive selling. In the midst of lingering Ukraine/Russia tensions, the
front-month ICE Brent crude oil futures extended gains by rising 0.35% at
$94.89/b by 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). The 92 Ron was 0.3% lower at $109.89/b. According to the most recent customs data, South Korea's
MTBE exports jumped 64.5% month-over-month to 21,206 mt in January 2022. The MTBE imports fell 90.8% to 464 mt in January, according
to the latest customs data. The recent
MTBE capacity expansions in the country were cited by market participants as
